DROPTIX – SPECIAL 3D EFFECTS

Droptix adds a third dimension to your products and gives you unlimited freedom of design and shapes.
How does droptix work?
Simple: the printed lenses refract light onto a surface containing repeating patterns or symbols. Depending on the design, they can cover the entire surface of the print or just certain details. For example, you can place the product you want to advertise in the centre of the image and surround it with 3D effects to create the right environment. The icing on the cake is to backlit your print.
Applicable raw material
For this purpose, we prefer to use clear acrylic – in thicknesses of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 mm, up to 3200 x 2030 mm.
What else is needed?
Kea, the unique software from swissQprint, helps you create the designs you need for droptix. With just a few mouse clicks, you can create a pattern that is embedded in the original file. With Kea, you can experiment with different parameters, such as the arrangement of the lenses: by changing the position of the lenses, depending on the design, you can further enhance the 3D effect.
